Lisbeth Knudsen - CEO and Editor-in-Chief

Lisbeth Knudsen was appointed CEO of Berlingske Media in November 2007. She has more than 30 years of experience in print media as well as in digital media, radio and television, having held various editorial and senior commercial management positions. She began her career at Berlingske Tidende, subsequently becoming editor-in-chief and CEO at another newspaper group in Denmark and News Director of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. In April 2007, she returned to Berlingske Tidende as editor-in-chief, and took on additional responsibilities as Mecom's CEO for Berlingske Media. She is also chairman of the Board of the Danish University College of Media- and Journalism , vice president of the Danish Newspaper Association and President of the Berlingske Foundation.

Peter Nordgaard - CFO

Peter Nordgaard started working at Berlingske Media in 2007. His previous appointments include: founder of between 2005 and 2007, corporate finance manager at Bdr. Hartmanns from 2004 to 2005, group support manager at Copenhagen Airports between 2002 and 2005, manager of analysis and development, Copenhagen Airports between 1999 and 2002 and finance manager at Full Circle Products A/S from 1996 to1999.

The Netherlands

Wegener publishes seven paid-for daily newspapers in the east and south of the Netherlands, each with an average of eight local editions. The Group has total daily readers in the Netherlands of approximately 2 million and publishes content in print and in online, mobile and e-paper form. Daily circulation ranges from c.45,000 to c.120,000 and Mecom's titles on average have a 61 per cent share of the daily newspaper market in the regions in which it operates.

Berlingske Media


Berlingske Media publishes two national titles, (Berlingske and BT, with weekday circulation of over 80,000 and over 50,000 respectively) and one weekly title (Weekendavisen, with circulation of over 45,000). It publishes seven daily regional titles (each with circulation of less than 20,000) and 17 free weekly titles in the mid-Jutland region (run as media houses with regional paid titles) with total distribution in excess of 500,000 each week.
