Berlingske Media has a very long and proud history in Danish society, and has always had a significant influence through its national, regional and local titles.
Berlingske Media has an eventful history since its first newspaper was published back in 1749 and in 2009 the company celebrated its 260th anniversary. Berlingske’s many varied products are well-regarded and highly-positioned both in the media industry and society at large, especially the national daily newspaper, Berlingske.
In 2006, Berlingske was acquired by Mecom Group plc.
In 2008, the company changed its name from Det Berlingske Officin to Berlingske Media, reflecting that the company is entering a whole new era as a modern, dynamic and innovative media company.
